Just how change is life's only constant, how storms only disperse rather than simply end, how a train cannot stop all at once without being derailed, music in Omaha doesn't disappear, it simply changes and settles in other ways before doing it all over again.
Venues like the Blindspot close and reopen as new incarnations like the Breakroom, staff at One Percent Productions shifts as people move away and back again, bands come and go, some faces familiar and others previously unseen.
Such has become the fate of Garst. It has resubmerged beneath the surface of the primordial waters from which it was birthed, ready to incubate once more. The constantly-racing River City has seen its fair share of bands become beached, and time will tell which will get back into the water for the ride, and which will petrify like fossils in the sand.
